In our typography course we were each randomly assigned a typeface to design stylized type specimen books for. My typeface was Masqualero, created by Jim Ford. Ford is a type designer, and designed this typeface as an homage to Miles Davis and his jazz career.
I wanted to emphasize the range of this typeface by highlighting it's many different styles, sizes and special characters. It's a typeface that's both elegant and highly versatile.
